Data-driven insight. Deep expertise. Transformative innovation. Since 1947, Milliman has delivered intelligent solutions to improve health and financial security.
Jason is a consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2013.
Jason’s primary area of focus is assisting commercial health plans with pricing, state insurance department rate filings, experience analysis, and financial modeling. He has worked extensively with Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations and, in particular, the Federal Risk Adjustment program and risk transfer model.
He has led many ACA research initiatives and modeling projects in his time at Milliman, including designing and building the Milwaukee practice’s commercial medical coding improvement tool and the firmwide ACA financial accrual projection model, among others.
Additionally, he has supported various issuers with forecasting and building pro forma financial statements. He has also assisted health plans with their annual statements of actuarial opinion regarding their statutory liabilities.
Before joining Milliman, Jason worked for nearly nine years at a major health insurer in the Milwaukee area. As director of enterprise risk management, he coordinated various analyses and projections for the company’s main business units, such as claims processing, sales, and customer service and retention. His other responsibilities included general experience analysis and building and maintaining the firm’s individual and small group financial forecasting models.
