In collaboration with Candidly, Milliman offers a Student Loan Certification solution that allows defined contribution plan sponsors to provide matching contributions based on participants’ qualified student loan payments, thereby encouraging greater retirement savings. The program includes:

Matching contributions: Seamless process — Candidly enables participant certifications; Milliman calculates the match and fulfills the contributions based on certified loan payments.

RISE Score (Retirement Income Security Evaluation)

The RISE Score is a retirement income security projection tool developed by Milliman to assess how well participants are prepared for the financial risks of retirement. Modeled after a credit score, it uses data on the Milliman platform and information participants add to analyze possibilities that impact financial security. It then provides a rating on a scale of 350 to 850.

Provides insight beyond most retirement projection tools by measuring the impact of variables such as inflation, healthcare, longevity, financial markets, and withdrawal behavior.
Illustrates a projected portfolio balance at the point of retirement for three different market scenarios to help visualize the reality of future risk.
Converts projected portfolio balance into estimated monthly income for each market scenario, adds other retirement income sources, and compares income to projected expenses at retirement.
Includes tips and suggested action steps to improve the score and invites participants to model the impact of various behavior changes on their retirement financial security.

InvestMap™ is an investment tool integrated with Milliman’s defined contribution recordkeeping platform that provides participants with an automated, professionally managed investment glidepath.

Personal: Gives participants a moderate model as a recommendation, with the option to dial the risk up or down depending on their risk tolerance.
Simple: Uses the plan’s existing mutual investment options and customizes the allocation model using the participant’s age and their selected risk tolerance.
Automatic: Portfolios are automatically rebalanced every quarter and reallocated on the glide path every year following the participant’s birthday.
Accessible: No cost to participant.
