Jamie Shooks is a principal and consulting actuary with the Philadelphia office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2015.
Jamie has extensive casualty actuarial experience in loss reserve analyses, pricing analyses, and mergers & acquisitions. He has experience in various lines of business, including medical professional liability, asbestos and environmental, auto liability, workers compensation, general liability, and other long-tail exposures. Jamie’s clients include hospital and healthcare systems, insurance companies, corporate self-insureds, risk-retention groups, and state entities.
Prior to joining Milliman, Jamie previously worked at RiverStone Group, a Fairfax Financial subsidiary. In his role at RiverStone, he was responsible for leading reserve analyses for several lines of business, most notably construction defect, asbestos and environmental, and workers' compensation. In addition, Jamie was responsible for due diligence and acquisition pricing, financial reporting, and cash flow modeling.
Before RiverStone, Jamie worked in the Risk Management Department at PulteGroup, a Fortune 500 company. At PulteGroup he assisted with actuarial support and reserving for all lines of business, financial reporting for PulteGroup and its captive and risk retention group, corporate insurance placement, and reinsurance billing.
