Data-driven insight. Deep expertise. Transformative innovation. Since 1947, Milliman has delivered intelligent solutions to improve health and financial security.
Michael Halford is a consulting actuary in the West region Employee Benefits (WEB) Practice.
Michael has experience providing consulting services to a broad range of plan sponsors including multiemployer trusts, public entity trusts, corporations, state employee health plans, professional employer organizations (PEOs), and state Medicaid agencies. He consults across the myriad of financial issues that health and welfare plan sponsors encounter as they manage their programs. His consulting assignments have generally included the full scope of financial activities that self-funded and insured programs require: benefit design, rate and contribution setting, reserving and forecasting, vendor selection and negotiations, OPEB valuations, and overall healthcare strategy.
He originally joined Milliman in 2007. He returned to Milliman in 2020 after seven years working for another consulting firm where he held a variety of roles, including leading the actuarial team dedicated to their private exchange for active employees.
