Robert is a consulting actuary with the Tampa office of Milliman. He re-joined the firm in 2014 after spending nine years in the long-term care, life, and health industry setting, both in corporate and consulting capacities.
Prior to joining Milliman, Robert worked in the worksite long-term care (LTC) division of John Hancock as the pricing actuary. In this role, he was primarily responsible for the pricing of new LTC worksite products and the financial management of the worksite in-force block of business. Robert has extensive experience in the marketing and underwriting of LTC worksite products, as well as with assumption setting and reserving.
Robert has served as a consultant for a firm focusing on the valuation of direct and reinsured blocks of traditional life business. In this position, he also led the development of mortality studies and provided independent actuary review for a variety of direct and reinsurance carriers.
Robert's current role focuses on life insurance and LTC. He has helped Milliman's worksite and individual clients with traditional LTC product development, pricing, reserving, and rate increases. Robert has done similar work in the pricing of LTC and critical illness products as riders to life insurance and annuity policies in the worksite space.
Robert began his career with Milliman's Tampa office in 2004.
