The death, disability, and retirement extended reporting endorsement

The specific qualifications and limitations surrounding the death, disability, and retirement (DDR) benefit often give rise to misunderstandings between insured parties and their insurance carriers. In order to avoid such confusion in the future, medical professional liability insurers would be wise to fully understand DDR provisions, to explain the benefit to insureds, and to consider tailoring the DDR tail benefits as appropriate.
