Residential flood risk in the United States: Quantifying flood losses, mortgage risk and sea level rise

Under current climactic conditions, flooding stands out among other natural catastrophes in terms of the ongoing risk that it poses to the financial health of the average United States household. This report provides estimates of the insured and uninsured flood exposure of single-family residences in the contiguous United States from both storm surge and inland flooding.
