National healthcare reform: Strategic considerations for large employers

ByJeffrey Chanin
7 June 2010

Healthcare reform has important implications for large employers. Short term, large employers will have to make changes that affect certain aspects of their benefit plans. Medium term, these employers will face fundamental questions and challenges that may significantly change how they approach benefits. Overlaying all of these changes is the reinforced need for better control of healthcare costs.

This paper examines key strategic implications for employers and looks at both the short-term and medium-term changes required by reform.
