Escalating healthcare costs are causing employers and insurers to reassess the value and effectiveness of their medical management programs. Many of them are looking at disease management (DM) programs to prevent major disease events and thus reduce the need for and costs of medical care. In this article the authors look at the value of these programs and how to determine the return on your investment.
