Sean S. Hilton
Sean Hilton is an actuary with the Hartford, Connecticut office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2015.
Experience
As a member of the Hartford Health Practice, Sean engages in a variety of projects for public and private sector clients, including health insurance carriers, large employers, captives, dental insurance companies, faith-based organizations, and government entities.
Sean has experience in dental plan pricing, preparation and filing of dental rate manuals, commercial pricing of individual and small group market plans (ACA-compliant and other), financial projections and reserving analyses for first-dollar insurance and stop-loss reinsurance contracts, large employer employee benefits pricing and strategic planning, Section 1332 Waiver applications and subsequent analysis of state reinsurance program experience, and Medicare medical and prescription drug plan pricing. He has been involved in studies and publications analyzing the impact of changes in ACA regulations on On-Exchange and Off-Exchange health plans, and of the financial implications of potential changes (including transition to point-of-sale rebates) to Medicare Part D regulations on industry stakeholders.
Prior to joining Milliman, Sean worked with The Hartford in its P&C Reserving Department, where he performed annual reserve studies on construction defect and asbestos claims.
