Taylor Munch

Taylor Munch's areas of expertise include the following:

• Ratemaking for homeowners' personal lines that utilizes generalized linear modeling, catastrophe models, and competitor analysis
• Preparation of regulatory filings for submission to departments of insurance in multiple states, primarily Florida
• Implementation of by-peril homeowners rating plans, including data collection, class factor analysis, and rate level analysis
• Research regarding the impact of wildfires in the Western U.S. with a focus on the insurance industry.

Taylor helps to create innovative solutions for clients recovering from and preparing for future effects of catastrophic events, particularly wildfire. She actively participates in efforts to create alignment between fire services, communities, and the insurance industry on mitigations that matter and the use of wildfire mitigation data in ratemaking. Taylor is the project manager on the industry-wide effort to build a Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Data Commons for improved access to wildfire mitigation data.

Prior to joining Milliman, Taylor was an underwriter with Chubb. At Chubb, she managed a book of business covering worker's compensation, automobile liability, and general liability for national commercial accounts.
