This report presents the results and insights from a fresh survey of Indian life insurers, covering their participating business management and asset share calculation approaches. Twenty of the 24 life insurers in India participated in this survey, which covered aspects including sources of surplus shared with policyholders, triggers and limits on bonus declarations, asset allocations and level of reserves relative to asset shares.
