Health microinsurance schemes seek to provide financial protection and access to healthcare for the poor. Mobile phones can help with reducing costs, addressing challenges with scale-up, enroling clients, collecting premiums and more. Mobile health increases efficiency and has huge potential to change health-seeking behaviour, which could translate to significant savings for entire healthcare systems.
