Karthik Yadatore is a consulting actuary with the Life insurance consulting practice of the Seattle office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2010.

Karthik has over 12 years of life insurance consulting experience, serving clients primarily in the U.S. and Bermuda. He has managed and worked on several large projects involving system migration from traditional valuation systems to MG-ALFA® for actuarial valuation for a variety of annuity products. He has also performed and managed modeling projects for financial reporting, planning, and pricing for a variety of products in MG-ALFA.

Karthik has also worked on several buy-side M&A projects.

He has published white papers on industry practices for all actuarial aspects of indexed annuities and on FASB’s proposed changes to U.S. GAAP accounting of long duration insurance contracts.

Karthik has presented at several SOA meetings on topics related to indexed annuities and model conversions.

Prior to joining Milliman, Karthik worked with ING for more than four years in its Retail Life and Retail Annuity business divisions. Karthik worked on embedded value, business planning, financial reporting, economic capital calculation, cash flow testing, and ALM for several life insurance and annuity products. Prior to leaving ING, Karthik was in-charge of DAC reporting for all deferred annuities and GAAP reserves for variable annuities with death and living benefit guarantees.

Karthik is fluent in English and Hindi and can serve as a valuable liaison between Transamerica’s staff and our staff in Milliman’s Seattle and New Delhi offices.
