Current Responsibility

Andy is a consultant in the Hartford office of Milliman. He has overall actuarial responsibility for the MG-Triton Interest-Sensitive Life system and the MG-Triton Payout Annuity system. He joined the firm in 2003.


Andy joined the MG-Triton team at Price Waterhouse in 1996. He was primarily responsible for implementing both cohort processing and embedded value processing in the MG-Triton systems. He has considerable experience in all aspects of financial reporting for individual life insurance.

Prior to joining Price Waterhouse, Andy worked in the financial reporting and corporate actuarial departments at Connecticut Mutual, ITT Hartford, and Monarch Life. Some of his primary functions included:

  • performing cash-flow testing for the participating individual life line of business
  • writing the entire Actuarial Memorandum for a company
  • reviewing actuarial aspects of the GAAP for Mutuals conversion for the universal life line of business
  • monthly valuation and financial reporting for individual life products, including all aspects of statutory, GAAP, tax, and management reporting
  • reinsurance administration and treaty negotiation
  • implementation of FAS 97 accounting requirements
  • acquisition and divestiture of blocks of business

Andy has been a speaker and workshop facilitator at Society of Actuaries and Actuaries' Club of Hartford meetings. He was a member of the committee that developed Actuarial Guideline XXXVII (VL-GMDB).
