Current Responsibility

Silvio is a principal and consulting actuary with the Woodland Park, N.J., office of the New York Regional practice of Milliman. He was a member of the Milliman Board of Directors from May 2002 to May 2005. He is a member of the Abelica Global Employee Benefits Steering Group, which he chaired for six years, and is also a member of the Abelica Global Executive Committee. Silvio joined the firm in 1981.

Experience

Silvio's area of expertise includes ERISA funding and accounting expense requirements for qualified and nonqualified retirement programs. He is active in the redesign of retirement programs, including traditional defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, and hybrid programs such as cash balance plans. Silvio also provides advice on nonqualified supplemental retirement plans, assistance on analysis of benefits, and assessment of their impact with respect to acquisitions and divestitures. He consults on both corporate and Taft Hartley retirement plans.
